Bonjour Paris

I have stopped trying to edit the photos as I realise I'm never going to get them up on the blog otherwise! So they are just banged up here as the camera took them. Likewise I have given up trying to get blogger to lay them out in any kind of visually pleasing way!

We left for Paris Wednesday morning on a 10.50 flight. Kaelan was already very tired and until he fell asleep exhausted on the plane, it wasn't pretty. We haven't purchased him a seat for any of the 'domestic' flights while we are over here and he wasn't very pleased. In fact while Daryl and I were sorting the carry on bags into the overhead lockers he claimed a seat, climbed into it and did up the lap sash by himself. Impressed he was not when I took him out and placed him on my lap into the baby harness. And he told us and all the other passengers about his displeasure rather loudly until he fell asleep exhausted halfway through the flight. He stayed that way until we were on our way into Paris in a Taxi.

The taxi ride to our accommodation in the 6th Arrondissement took a bit over an hour, the traffic was fairly heavy. Once he'd woken up Kaelan amused himself by fiddling with the automatic window buttons, pulling the window blind up and down, trying to kick the drivers seat, trying to hang out the window when open and complaining when thwarted in doing all these things! Rian travelled relatively well but was impatient to get to our destination after a long day.

We eventually arrived at the apartment and it was fantastic. Three bedrooms, a well equipped and modern kitchen and a sizeable living area with a comfortable sofa. Plenty of room for the boys to play and run about in. Rian was thrilled to find a bunk bed and toys in his room including two scooters. He's been busy scooting in a loop around the apartment on a spiderman scooter!

Here are some pictures of the apartment we're staying in.
