I'm a bit behind with getting this up and running so I'll do a few posts to get up to date, starting with the long flight over here.
Wednesday 4th May. If it ever seemed a big hectic rush to get ourselves prepared for an international flight, boy did it feel even crazier with Rian and Kaelan around trying to pack to go away. Thanks to Mum and Dad we managed to get out the door, leaving a bit of a mess behind us! Rian was so excited, the day that had taken so long to arrive finally here! By the evening Rian was asking to get in the car and go. It seemed a very long day to him.
Both boys were really tired having to make it until the 10.10pm departure time for the flight, biut there was sio much going on that neither went to sleep on the plane until midnight, Rian first and then Kaelan 5 minutes later. Rian slept for 6 hours and Kaelan slept for 8, however this was broken up for him by frequent waking and especially in the first few hours a bit of crying. We think he was mostly disconcerted about where he was and overtired from having been to bed some 5 hours later than usual.
