The Beara Peninsula

It was a lazy dog day morning? in Tuosist on the Bearer Peninsula.  This little fella was sunning himself in the middle of the intersection and didn’t even budge when we pulled up right next to him. 

   

   

   

We stopped on the road to Healy’s pass and let the boys out of the car for a roam.  It was a fairly quiet road and we could hear the cars coming for a good while before we even saw them.  We took some great photos of the boys with Kerry behind them.

       

   

   

   

Mummy is starting to show the effects of too many cups of tea / cakes / desserts….

    

Then we got back in the car and crossed the border into Cork and went down through Healy’s pass saying hello to a few sheep on the way. 

    

   

A pub WITH a playground….

…and everyone’s very happy! 

4-Jun-11  Daryl was in paradise after we visited the beach upon discovering the nearby pub “The Blind Piper” which had a beer garden with a play area.

   

That’s Rian rolling down the hill behind Daryl…

   

   

   

And just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, a vintage tractor pulls up out the front and the owner lets Rian sit on it!

Buttercups

Flowers (in the eyes of this small boy) are for picking and then generally speaking, giving to Mummy…. I am not sure who taught him this, but I love it!

   

Derrynane Beach

Finally some warmth!  We all had a great afternoon at Derrynane Beach on the Ring of Kerry.
