Rian and Kaelan are doing great trying out different food and snacks everywhere we go. In Paris they just couldn’t get enough baguette, every time we bought one is was half gone by the time we got it home with the two of them tearing bits of it. I think Rian may have finally gotten over the loss of Arnotts Country Cheese biscuits, his favourite muesli bars and squeezey yoghurt (that we had taken frozen on the long plane flights over here) and cruskits. We have found a few substitutes which he will no doubt be whinging for when we get back to Australia!
Rian loved looking at all the “Rainbow biscuits” (aka macaroons) at the bakeries in Paris. He just had to have a red one!
The apartment in Paris has quite a lot of toys in the room that Rian was sleeping in. Among these were two scooters. Once of them was a Spiderman scooter which Rian fell in love with. He wanted to take it everywhere with us. We had a big meltdown one morning when we were on our way to Le Bon Marche (department store) to have a look in the toy section and we told him he couldn’t bring it. The hardships of being three. Scooter ride or toy shop, scooter ride or toy shop, scooter ride or toy shop…..he so badly just wanted to do both at the same time!
Rian is winning a few hearts in the shops using his little French vocabulary off his own bat saying “bonjour”, “merci” and “au revoir” to the shop keepers.
