Sailboats at the Jardin du Luxembourg

On Sunday we returned to the Luxembourg Gardens. What had been a relatively peaceful place on Thursday was teeming with parents and young children. It is obviously a very popular place to go on weekends for families in Paris.

We hired a sailboat for Rian and he had a fantastic time pushing it with a bamboo stick and watching it sail across the pond, then running with Daddy as fast as he could to get to where it had gone and pushing it off again, much like all the other children doing the same thing.

He was reluctant to have to take the boat back when our half hour was up.

Meanwhile Mummy was wandering about the park with Kaelan trying to stop him from crawling into the pond and getting up to other general no good (read running away from his mother, walking on the grass that is not supposed to be walked on and attempting to pick flowers out of the garden beds).

After we returned the boat the boys went on the carousel and rode in a red(!) carriage.
